I'm note sure about the cable, never used one. I do have a bluetooth dongle for my PC though. You can transfer pictures, not sure what good that is. But one point of good news is you can convert MP3 files to 3gp files using Media Converter

Yeah, I hate Samgsung

I agree completely about the voice activated dialing problem. Problem is that I have already bought the bluetooth earpiece and now I am stuck with it. I'm hoping that Samsung will get some common sense and somehow update thier firmware for the phone and make it available online. I have not gotten a bluetooth connection for my computer but I can tell anyone planning on buying the cable to transfer items to be careful. Samsung has not produced a program to transfer objects like pictures and sound files yet for this phone. (I have no idea why, considering that it should have been one of the first things done) You can only transfer your phonebook and messages with the cable I bought. A completely useless buy since those are the last things I wanted to transfer!!! I have read elsewhere that you can convert mp3's to 3gp files to have them play on the phone but i have not tried it yet.. No point for me till I get bluetooth cuz no way for me to try transfering it to the phone!! Samsung should have spent the extra few months and done this phone right..

I've added ringtones to mine, first by editing in Audacity, and then using the free Yamaha wave to smaf converter. What I haven't beaten it into doing is Bluetoothing .jars onto it.
