On my way to and from work I always pass by one of the cheapest gas stations around. It’s a local Race Trac. Every morning when I go past I keep my fingers crossed. Crossed from 8:00 AM all the way down to 5:00 PM when I pass it again and then I get disappointed. For the past couple weeks it’s been ridiculous, but this morning I almost fainted going by. $2.19!!!!
I took the hike during Presidents Day and brainwashed myself. It’s only because of the holiday I convinced myself. It will go back down soon, just you see. Yeah right. I’m down to 1/4 tank with a lil’ bit of hope. I’ll see what happens on Wednesday.

LuluGal at Save Money came to me ranting and raving about this John Chow dude. I didn’t really understand what she was talking about. She gets kind of crazy sometimes. She insists that I should do a review of John Chow’s site, so here it is
So what is this blog about? It’s a general blog, like this one, however what caught my eye was the earnings his blog is receiving. One reason he’s been able to do this is because he has an incredibly high Technorati rating (1,239) last time I checked. He started this blog back in December of 2005, so he’s had more than enough time to rack up traffic. And noting he rather regular posting schedule that adds up to a lot of posts and a lot of traffic. Way to go John Chow. In September of 06 he rack up over $300 in Adsense alone. That alone is more than I’ve made in years, but hey, he’s John Chow. After adding other income sources (Google AdSense, Vibrant IntelliTXT, TTZ Media, Text Link Ads, FeedBurner Ads, ReviewMe, Direct Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales and Free Stuff) the guy racked up over $2,500. Now that was his December income. More than enough to pay off his holiday shopping. One thing I don’t understand is that in January people are usually broke from holiday shopping. But some how, he earn almost $3,500 by the end of January. Just to clear up any misconceptions, this is not a running total, this is every month. I just got myself a nice new job after four years of college and this guy is rivaling my monthly salary with his blogging income. How I would love the life of a pro blogger.

I think I’m beginning to notice a pattern here. Every time I decided to do something to clean up the car, something gets screwed up. The last time I decided to clean up the mats in the car I, like an idiot, stuck then in the washer at my apartment complex. When I got them out they were all ripped up. The car was less that two months old.
This time it happened again. I woke up, went to church and decided that I need to wash the car. We recently had a dust storm, so I decided to get stuff a lil’ bit clean up. There were also a lot of gifts from the birdies. Now, I’ve never got one of those deluxe washes before. What I needed was the under carriage spray so I picked up deluxe one for $8.00. You know, those with all the wheel cleaner, clear coat stuff, etc. Came out looking great.
Since the car wash was close to Walmart I decided to go get some stuff that I’ve been missing. I parked the car, got out went inside, did my shopping and came back out. When I came out I decided to admire the new wash. That’s when I noticed it. Some red paint. Apparently the idiot parked next to me opened his door and deposited a nice chunk of red paint on my driver side door. No dent, but it sucks.

Today was my One Month Informal Review. Needless to say, I was a bit paranoid about it. Here are a couple of exerts from the review:
- Baz is smart and bright
- He has a great attitude and gets the help he needs to complete his work. He has good communication skills and talks to the various support reps to gather the information and business knowledge he needs to complete his taks.
- He also gets help form his team members and is not shy to ask for help when he needs it.
Phew. That’s a load off my mind and I’m not sure whether all of it is true. About my communication skills: I really hate bugging people. Everyone looks so busy and there are always deadlines, so I usually try to drudge through it myself. But on the other hand, I’m so scared that I might break something that I guess I ask a lot of questions.
Hey, I’m just happy that they’re happy. Next step is the application for my H1B Visa.

For the past couple weeks I’ve had my computer on the floor and my monitor sitting on a small coffee table. I guess that explains a lil’ bit of why I haven’t been blogging for a while, it’s actually painful. In the area that I moved to, we have two (2) Walmart locations. One is a huge SuperCenter like I’m used to (even a lil’ bigger than what I’m used to), the other is a like a Mini-Walmart (and it’s green. I’m not sure what that’s about).
Weeks I’ve been visiting these two stores now and I haven’t been able to get a proper desk for my computer. They have a small wooden desk which looks like it’s going to collapse as soon as I put my monitor on it. I’m sorry, I still have one of those huge 17″ CRT monitors. So my solution to the problem was to bring down my old desk. The reason I haven’t done this before is because when I moved, I didn’t use a U-Haul or anything. I didn’t have that much stuff, so I just packed up my lil’ mid-sized car and came down. Bottom line is, the desk is obviously too large to put into the car. So, since I couldn’t find the desk I wanted, I went up to Wichita Falls and dismantled my old desk, loaded it into the car board by board and reassembled when I got back home.
