Day In The Life of Baz

I just spent bought about 3 and 1/2 gallons of gas today. Now why the hell would I do that you ask. That’s just under a 1/4 tank of gas for me, so what’s my point? It’s almost Easter and a lot of people are going to be traveling on Friday since it’s a long weekend, including me. Given the current trend in gas prices, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the price is going to spike on Wednesday or Thursday. The demand is about to be high for gas, so that stations, like they always do, are going to raise prices so that they can cash in for the holiday. So, it’s in your best interest to fill up a couple days before a big holiday.

This strategy works brilliantly for holidays and also in general. If you notice that gas is steadily increasing, catch it before it continues to rise. It is highly unlikely that prices are going to drop, so holding out and running on that last couple 2 gallons on gas waiting for the price to drop, it’s going to help you in the least bit.

Looking for a new cellphone, what do you do? Do you simply head out to the homepage of the providers? Do you just call them up and say you want to sign up? Well, I’m not sure about you, but I usually visit sites such as WireFly and CellularChoices where I can find consolidate all my cellphone choices.

Well that works for us in the US, but what about people in the UK? Enter: Go4Mobiles. Go4Mobiles is a new site started up that helps you purchase cellphones and cellphone plans. They got a lot of plans that have anywhere from 4 to 8 months at only half the regular price. Now this is something that US providers need to take a tip from. They also give some free gifts with certain plans. These range from: and XBOX 360 to iPods. Get them out: Go4Mobiles.

Lava has finally taken the plunge and gotten her own domain name. Now, how the heck did she manage to snatch HowISaveMoney.net is way beyond me. It was a lucky break.

Moving Wordpress to that domain was a little bit involved, especially importing the database, but everything is up and running. Check her out at HowISaveMoney.net.

PassPack

Now I’ve seen a number of people talking about PassPack. It’s, well, an online password management system. You can store all your passwords here s othat in the rare event that you forget them, you’ll have something to fall back on.

Now, not trying to be difficult, but I just don’t feel comfortable with the whole idea. I’ll give a try anyways and I’ll keep you guys posted But my real use for it would be for those User IDs that some sites think they need to give you: long and numerical. Can’t I just pick a username like I do on thousands of other sites? Oh well. My web host seems to find it funny to dynamically generate my FTP login. I wonder if that’s because I have the cheapest plan possible?

Also check out the PassPack Blog for latest news.
