myCityApartment.com is available in Boston only for now, but offers up to $500 on even more apartments and they actually provide you with full service. By full service I mean they show you all of the apartments that you want to see, make all of the appointments (save you time), and negotiate on your behalf.

Hello All,

My nmae is Don and I live in Jersey City NJ and I have some infothat I’d like to share with you all. From all of the info I have gathered from both online and personal experience (Dealing with My own Problem for about 8 Years Now) This is an issue that I believe will have major global impact in years to come. Most Major cities are overun by Rats as we speak, Exterminators who have your best interest at heart are very few and far between as many of them operate on thhe same level as the “Shady” Auto Mechanic, and help from many local and state officials is just wishful thinking as njone of them get elected to office on any Rat reform platforms.

In fact i believe that this problem is of epic proportions now and will continue to grow. Think about it, In this economy with City and State budget cuts the Service will suffer.

Bottom Line It’s up to us as a people to not leave trash out unprotected to seal up the crawlspaces that rodents use to invade our lives, and demand that our local, and state government officials address this most urgent problem.

Inform your friends and family everywhere that at some point as long as this issue goes unchecked it will eventually affect them as well.

If you think that I’m just ranting just use the internet to lookup instances of Rat Infestations all over the globe. Think of it this way, Man has managed to cause a number of species to become extinct, why can’twe handle this one species from spreading. Hhmm.

That’s funny I always get angry when they don’t leave the package or ring my bell instead of just leaving it and quietly going away. Since you track your packages anyway and you know you won’t be home. Why don’t you leave a note on the door asking the driver to leave it at the apt. office or put the package on will call, or have it delivered to an alternate address like your work. Just some suggestions, best of luck.

Just a follow up from the old post - apartmentsearch.com does give $200 but $100 is on a card like the one posted above AND another $100 is in CORT dollars (the furniture renting place) unless you want to buy used dumpy furniture - the one near me was junk so I figured rent.com was a better choice.

Still waiting on the confirmation for mine!

You can also waive the sig waiver. Basically, there is a note in your file/address saying that a signature is required for every drop-off. I think this will only work for packages specifically addressed to your apt #. Then they will either hold it at the location, or leave it in the office.

Another option is to call Fedex the day before/day of and tell them to hold the package at the Fedex location (whatever your nearest one is) for pick-up.

I think a post it note will do it. If they understand how the complex works they should just through it at the office.

Personally, I hate signatures. They are the bane of online ordering for me. Ok its not the signature it is the 5 hour window in which you need to be home in order to sign.

I am sorry to hear that the FedEx person is just leaving your packages. I thought they were supposed to leave packages at the office if there was no one home.

I can’t understand why people enjoy spring. It’s a horrid season. The snow is melting everywhere leaving huge puddles and lakes, it’s also revealing all these grand canyon’s of pot holes which aren’t filled in for weeks if not months at times. Then the rain comes in and the lakes become seas and then the rain is freezing cold. The mornings are in the minuses and all the rain freezes.
Spring sucks haha.
